The Calgary Philatelic Society offers monthly stamp sales, including a silent auction, a regular auction, circuit books, and private treaty books. Subject to a few minor restrictions, any member can offer materials and stamps for sale, and anyone present can purchase material.
Circuit Books
Circuit Books are submitted to the Circuit Book Chairman, who then brings them to each Society function. Each book has 16 pages, and room for 12 stamps per page. The member submitting the books fills the pages with their duplicate stamps, or other Philatelic material, and prices it. Other members can take the books on loan to look for items they wish to purchase. The can return the books at the next function along with payment for the items removed from the books. Anyone can look through the books at the club and purchase items, but only Society members can take the books home. Blank books can be purchased from the Circuit Book Chairman.
